Lore has always been the thing that attracts me to video games, and MMO’s in specific. Universe rich in culture, stories and style are easy to get lost in, giving you more and more as you delve further and further into them. The Elder Scrolls universe has been growing and developing for years and years, starting all the way back in 1994. As such, you can bet that Bethesda and Zenimax’s new MMO, The Elder Scrolls Online will have a lot of lore to call upon, and to keep straight.
In fact, they have so much lore that they apparently needed to have an official Loremaster. (How the hell do I get his job…) In a recently released video entitled “Alliance at War“ Lawrence Schick describes the political situation of Tamriel, and the motivations of each of the three faction that will appear in TESO.

It’s a great jumping off point for anyone interested in the universe, giving you the names of the important players, the location that will play a role, and some indication of where things might go. This is the bread and butter of any Lore junky, and combined with the massive Elder Scrolls Wiki, you’re sure to reveal more thatn a few things about where The Elder Scrolls Online might lead.
It does also have to be noted that Schick may be the coolest looking dude on The Elder Scrolls Online Staff. The title of Loremaster fits his Wizard-esq aesthetic to a T.
I want to shake this man’s hand, if only to grasp at some of his raw awesomeness.
